The expansion modules of the Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Rugged Series are built for use in harsh industrial environments, such as manufacturing, energy, transportation, mining, smart cities, and oil and gas. These modules are fanless, designed for convection-cooling, and hardened to withstand vibration, shock, surge, and electrical noise immunity. With the Cisco IEM-3400-8P=, switches can provide a total PoE budget of 480W.
