The MegaRAID 9500 series represents the first RAID adapter family in the industry to utilize PCIe Gen 4.0 technology, providing support for both PCIe Gen 4.0 host and storage interfaces. The MegaRAID 9560-8i adapter, which is built on the SAS3908 high-port count PCIe 4.0 x8 RAID-on-Chip (RoC), offers a performance improvement of up to two times compared to previous generations. Additionally, the 9560-8i is designed to be compatible with existing PCIe SFF-8639 Module (U.2) backplanes, enabling users to enhance performance in today's increasingly bandwidth-intensive environments.
